Sheez, is that *all*?? I've cared for close to 100 babies and families
in the, what, 4 years I've been a post-partum doula. Maybe I can write
a book in a few years and make gobs of money.
I have to say that truly the families have taught me as much, if not
more, than I have have taught them. I and my clients generally laugh at
these types that have this intense desire to minutely control a *baby*.
When I do see these books at the nightstand then I do have a teachable
moment and the parents come away with a lot more knowledge about
physiology and psychology then they ever bargained for.
I think we can all feel good that we are bettering the world, one family
at a time. We can't help all the families we contact, but we are
chipping away at it.
