There is a really good telephone triage aid that was put out by the
Maryland WIC program a few years ago, called "Breastfeeding Kardex". It
had tabs for certain key problems, and a flow diagram to follow depending
on the mom's answers to questions (if yes, go to this question, if no, go
to this other question. . .). My OB-Gyn's nurse was very happy with it. I
don't know if it is still available, or if it is still current with

call Janet Daniel or Amy Kovar at 410-767-5242. It used to cost $2 a copy,
w/ bulk discounts. BTW, have you gotten a look at the nurses' protocol
from which they are not allowed to deviate? I hope it is good
