I loved the recent post of the initiation of the production of a directory of Canadian Breastfeeding Committees/Coalitions.
Is there a similar directory for the United States, already in existance? Or a website, or any type of organizing body that exists that lists the breastfeeding committees/coalitions that exist throughout the United States? I often am in contact with breastfeeding moms who would like to get more involved and do something, and I would like to be able to direct them to their local group. I think consumer participation will be key to making societal change. As well, I think we need to network more, and perhaps organize and formalize our relationships to each other - we would have more presence in media and in policy if we all worked under the same name, similar goals etc.
