I've read a lot of Kangaroo care and Paula Meier's work.  I think setting
arbitrary dates and expectations based on gestational age or weight or
whatever, does babies a great dis -service.  You need to look at the
individual baby and see where s/he is at, what are his/her signs of
readiness for oral feeds. Let's have support for K-care and observation of
baby cues instead of "policies/procedures/guidelines."  Sincerely, Pat in
