Janice gives us some great advice and insight for those who've never
learned much about sales "from the inside". I tried some of the "work
at home" multi-level marketing deals a number of years back. Never made
any money, but did come away learning a lot about what salespersons are
taught. It has been a great help for me when dealing with expecially
persistent ones. I can usually avoid falling into the traps.
Formula reps are real pros at all the techniques-even better than most
car dealers I've ever dealt with. Just wish I could get through to our
"higher-ups". I've tried all the approaches that have been suggested,
but to no avail. In fact, I get criticized for being "too rigid". They
just can't get past the fact that they get such "wonderful" inservices,
free pacifiers etc., funds for sending staff to workshops, etc. etc.
etc. ARRRGHHHH!!!
