One of my physicians has a client that is pregnant with her third child,
plans to breastfeed, however she was never able to establish a milk
supply. This is her first pregnancy at our facility (just moved here at 34
weeks). Anyway the Dr mentioned to me something about prolactin injections
this time if she doesn't get a good milk supply. She has only had one
visit with this Dr, so hasn't had a good breast exam, and no more details
about why she wasn't able to establish a good supply. I suggested getting
her levels checked after delivery...Is Lawrence the best resource
for "normal ranges", and has anyone heard of Prolactin injections to
establish a supply? Any info would be great. Barb in Shell Lake WI USA
