I am a newly certified IBCLC (YEAH!!!) and have some questions about
setting up my practice. First of all, where to get insurance for
liability. Next, how to set fees. I am right outside of New York
City in New Jersey. Also, what do you usually include in your
consultations as far as print materials and follow up (home or phone,
etc.). How do I go about billing and what codes do you use?
I am a LCSW (social worker) and am used to billing, but not for this.
Also, all my work will be done as part of my private practice which includes
doula services (both birth and postpartum), pregnancy support groups, new
mom/baby support groups, and childbirth education.
Also, if any of you are postpartum doulas - how do you differentiate
between that and lactation consultations?
Thanks so much for your help - all of you out there have been so helpful
already!
