I may be remembering this incorrectly, but I thought the issue was parents
who choose TO breastfeed because it lowers the risk of disease for their
children, based on the scientific research, but then also choose NOT to
immunize, even though immunizations also lower the risk of disease for their
children, based on the scientific research.

It flabbergasts me that people who argue in favor of breastfeeding, based on
scientific research of better health outcomes, would then turn around and
argue against immunizations, even though immunizations also provide better
health outcomes, based on the scientific research.

Especially since not breastfeeding your own kids really doesn't hurt other
people's children (rarely, and indirectly, I suppose it might), but not
immunizing can directly and more commonly hurt other people's children.

Now I promise to stop posting to LactNet about immunizations, before
Kathleen and Rachel kick me off.
