I have NOT read this book. With that in mind, I often find that
"unrealistic expectations" involve:
- feeding baby by baby's cues for frequency and duration rather than by the
clock
- reserving formula for emergency separations rather than using them for
daily alternatives
- being baby's 'sole support' for food, i.e. 'need to share the obligation'
- staying home with baby rather than working outside the home
- taking baby with you rather than leaving him with a sitter (baby is a
family member, not a puppy!)
- continuing to BF for more than 'X' weeks/months/years (fill in the
blank)... etc.
There's more, but you know them all...
