Patricia Gordon notes that posing a question to Lactnet to which the answer
will be of broad interest, and then asking for responses privately, is not
in the spirit of Lactnet. The listmothers agree and that is why we have on
several occasions reminded you all of the 'carbon copy' function on your
e-mail.

It's fine to request a private response IN ADDITION TO the response to the
list. With e-mail you don't have to buy an extra postage stamp or envelope
or print another copy. If you have asked a question, chances are there are
other subscribers who will be interested in the responses too.
