I want to second Diane Wiessinger's post about looking for horses...
I once totally missed identifying hypotonia in a baby with extreme
micrognathia, as well as several other things over the years. Our minds
want to jump on the first explanation that presents itself, but
breastfeeding is robust, and often it is a tangle of several challenges
that cause it to falter. Latching on the to most obvious one and
failing to look for anything else can be a major pitfall of this work.
