Regarding the 19 month old that only weighs 19 pounds:
Elvi writes that the ped suggested, rather insisted, that baby just
needs more high calorie food.  Were any tests done?  Were metabolic
problems ruled out?  Or did the doc immediately assume it must be
related to breastfeeding and not even consider other causes?  Does this
baby really need a dietician/nutritionist or some medical specialist?
What was the weight pattern of the parents?
Inquiring minds want to know.
