Not much time to comment, other than to validate your perceptions and
knowledge--you are absolutely right, and this happens far too often--the
whole scenario and attitude you describe. Suggestion--contact the Director
of Maternal/Child Health and express your concern about the lack of
education re SNS at home, and lack of follow-up when moms are using them.
This gets into the liability area, and may attract more attention than if
you start with the need for staff education, etc. Also, try to find a
pediatrician who will also pursue the issue with you.
