Amen to that! Any resource we can gather that can change this attitude is
a very important one. I received the list from NABA called "Breastfeeding
as the Foundation for Health" which deals with the Healthy People 2010
goals and how breastfeeding falls into many other goals besides its own
(#16). It has a copyright by Marsha Walker so I cannot share it with
others, but you can contact NABA for it. (www.naba.org)
Specifically, she identifies each goal and gives references (for example -
#1 - Access to quality Health Services and Freed's studies on how little
current health care professionals know about breastfeeding or #19 -
Nutrition and Overweight, etc...)
