I hope someone will challenge them on this. You are risking the potential
for HIV transmission, which is extremely low via exclusive breastfeeding,
against all the many well-documented hazartds of formula. Not to mention
the loss of the breastfeeding relationship. I think it is completely
inaccurate to say that it is clinically clear that
not-breastfeeding/formula-use has more benefits than costs, even if the
mother is known to be HIV positive.
