Regarding Barbara's 4 mo who refuses to eat when awake:
Maybe I'm way off-base here, but if the baby will eat fine when asleep,
what is the problem with continuing to carefully feed him while he's
asleep? At 4 months he's probably not sleeping enough to get all of his
food this way but it should be a less stressful way to get significant
nutrition in. Does he want to feed himself is another question I'd ask.
I also wouldn't think it is a problem for an healthy baby to go 4 hours
between feeds at 4 months but if he's still looking skinny I would share
your concern. How's he doing in other areas of development?
regards,
Beth
