The following article "Differentiating Inflammatory Breast Cancer from
Acute Mastitis" (Am Fam Phys Sept 1, 1995 pp 929-934 Dahlbeck, Donnelly,
Theriault) states that a woman should go for a follow-up mammogram or
ultrasound if the mastitis does not improve in 7-10 days.
