Have you actually seen this baby? Does he gulp and sputter at breast?
If so, oversupply /relative lactose overload could be stressing his
already depleted capacity to digest lactose. It would not hurt to have
mom try some hindmilk feedings (pump a few ounces, and then feed the
baby) to see if this also reduces his stool frequency.
