Wise ones,
I was asked a question that I thought to be an interesting one for all of us.
Re the WHO children should be exclusively breastfed from birth up to around 6
months. But how about prematurily born babies? Should we count these 6 months
starting at birth or should we use the corrected age? That would mean for
instance that a baby born 3 months early should be excl. breastfed untill
about 9 months after birth, thus counting 9+6months after conception.
My first answer was to use the corrected age, but I wonder if their is a
guideline or reference for this or for the other option?
