One thing I've encountered several times that is heartbreaking, is receiving
a call from a mom on the answering machine and her telephone number is
illegible. It is so frustrating to know there is a mom out there needing
help. I've spent many minutes pouring through the phone book looking for a
"Smith" with a XXX prefix, all to no avail.
Also, how many of us have teenagers or message taking-impaired spouses who
may or may not write down names and numbers? (as in, "A Susan somebody
called you for LLL." Well, gee, that narrows it down, doesn't it?)
May I suggest we all encourage mothers to clearly and loudly enunciate their
names and telephone numbers, if they have to leave a message for someone?
This is for anybody, anywhere, not just LLL help calls:-)
Warmly,
