oh, i totally agree (again). in fact, with Allaitement Québec we do the
same things. Monthly meetings, phone help. home visits, etc., all
volunteer. To be honest, I am right now handling (with other ressource
persons) monthly meetings in 2 different cities. One is 40 min. drive
away, the other 1.5 hrs away. I am supposed to be starting phone duty
too this month, & am researching starting 2 new groups too: 1 here
close by in my own town (finally, something close to home!), & 1 still
the 1.5 hr. drive away for me, but a toddler meeting rather than a
"regular" meeting. That means 4 groups (3 of which I'll be doing with
other ressource people) plus phone calls plus the travel time which is
my biggest dislike. Luckily i only have the one child right now, &
she's not a newborn. I couldn't see myself doing this in the early
post-pasrtum! ;-)

i agree it's a lot of work...volunteer work...but it's sad to hear about
people quitting because of not getting called back. i can't promise to
be the best caller-backer of all time. i can promise to do *my*
best...but i can also say that if i hear of someone who quit because i
didn't call back soon enough, i'd be very sad. :-(
