delurking to add my .02

Another reason I was given was that though staff trusted the parents to hold the baby (yeah I know), the policy is in place so that when the staff are responding to an emergency bell or during a code response they don't bump into a parent holding a baby and therefore causing the parent to drop the baby.

Made sense to me.
