My first thought is to look for a marginal frenulum issue that may have
slipped past everyone, especially if he's not making her sore. My most
recent tongue-tie case sensitized me. It really didn't look too bad, and
the tongue could clearly be seen cupping the breast. But apparently it just
couldn't cup quite far enough forward. He nursed moderately well on a
really full breast but couldn't trigger let-downs reliably on his own
otherwise. I'll know to be looking for "problems latching early on" and
"can't trigger let-downs" as signals in the future. Does this baby ever
stick his tongue out? Can he flange both lips?
