Actually, this study shows that CULTURE affects bf decisions.......and I
know that where I come from the figures would be completely reversed
"racially" - most of the blacks breastfeeding and few of the whites.

I would say that the authors' conclusion ("that health care professionals
[need to] emphasize the benefits of breastfeeding to the black community")
does not cover the full picture. More education on bf is needed indeed, but
there are obviously economic and social factors that affect breastfeeding
maintenance too, which health workers cannot hope to address.
Breastfeeding is everyone's business, not just health workers'.
