Joyce,
This sounds like an online program that we have at the hospital.
Supposedly the nurses are only to use the medication info as handouts,
but every once in a while one of them "discovers" the ones on infant
feeding. While some of the info is OK, it is overshadowed by the bad
info. At the end of each sheet dealing with breastfeeding it says
something like, "You do not have to breastfeed your baby. Ask your
doctor for advice. Bottle fed babies do fine too." Of course, the
bottle feeding info doesn't say anything like "You don't have to bottle
feed. Breastfed babies do fine too." Not only is much of the info bad,
it is very outdated. LLL is given as an information source, but it
still carries the Franklin Park address! How many years has it been
since they moved to the Schaumberg address?
I wouldn't trust this source for ANY medical info. If the info on a
subject I know a lot about is so bad, I have to wonder if the info on
subjects I'm not familiar with isn't just as bad.
Winnie
