Ka-ka, or caca, as a term for feces, is widely used throughout the world.
It was common in Arizona and California when I was growing up in the 1950s
and 1960s, and I've heard it in every state I've lived since (Indiana,
Mississippi, Texas, and Delaware).
When we moved to Texas, I had to get used to people saying "tee-tee" for
urinate. My kids used the simpler "pee" and it took Alex, my youngest, a
while to learn to tell his preschool teacher that he needed to go "tee-tee"
because she had no idea what he meant if he said he had to pee.
Why are we talking about this?
