To Valerie,
I couldn't read the tone in your answer to me about the algae and fungae
being genetically engineered. Were you being sarcastic? To me? Or about
genetically engineered additives? The written word is difficult to interpret
R/T sarcasm, etc.
I hope you were not intimating that my concern was stupid. But I couldn't
tell. I do know that genetically engineered corn has many people concerned in
the "allergy community". Crossbreeding one substance with another may
increase allergies, not decrease them.
Also many people will write in with concerns, suggestions and helpful prose,
but not if they intimate they are being made sport of. Lactnet may lose
important voices if it sounds sarcastic, fanatic or just plain rude.
Hope I misinterpreted,
Cheryl Muller, RNC, IBCLC
