Please be sure to check the work of Marshall Klaus. He has done numerous
studies on bonding & infant behavior. He has written several books as well as
numerous journal articles. He continues to do research & speak at
conferences--if you get the opportunity, go hear him speak. The original work
on bonding was done by Klaus & Kennell.  Johnson & Johnson has some nice
booklets & vidoes that include some of his work as well as other experts in
