Ok....I've left this post sitting up on my computer for hours, because I'm
not positive how it will be accepted. I think I'll still risk it and send
it.
I am stunned to see what seems "a lot" of talking about supplementing with
formula on Lactnet. Truly. It is an absolute last resort as far as I'm
concerned and will remain so with every woman I help. The impact on the
infant gut is too dramatic to take it lightly.
It's not only the talk of the use of formula to supplement, but many
"gadgets" to aid. I realize that there ARE times when one device or another
makes a real difference for a nursing dyad, however, I hate to see them
tossed around as if breastfeeding problems cannot be solved without the use
of them. Am I not seeing a fair representation here?
