Hi Claudia,
We had a similar question on the Dutch LLLLlist a couple of weeks ago. This
mom was pregnant with nr 3 and weaned the first 2 prematurely because every
time she nursed "it turned black for her eyes" and she only coulf bf lying
down. She thought it might be bloodglucose levels. She did not have a hx of
diabetes nor pregnancy induced diabetes.
Answers included:
- Devide food into many little meals over the dat to keep bloodglucose levels
as even as possible
- have a snack with every bf
- is the mother trying to loose weight too extreme?
- is the mother hyperventilating?
- perhaps the hormonal changes during bf cause a low bloodpressure, esp rapid
oxytocine raise during letdown, similar reaction as women who experience
headaches or nausea during letdown
