Okay, new report from BF utopia (Norway, of course). Remember, 99% of women
initiate BF here.
Women with more education, higher pay, and who return to paid employment
here actually BF longer than women who are home with kids full time or women
with less education or lower income.
No one knows why.
But we do not see a direct correlation between level of education or income
and degree of difficulty adjusting to being a BF mother.
The fact that a woman draws 80% of her pay while on leave, for a full year
after the birth of a baby may help as well. Choosing to be with your baby
doesn't mean quitting your job, or losing so much income that it isn't
feasible.
Don't you wish you lived here too?
