Rachel "I have a postcard with a reproduction of a painting by a Paula
Modersohn-Becker (1876-1907) called, I think, 'sleeping (or lying) mother
with child' (Liegende Mutter mit Kind).
Mother has her knees raised, arm out, and is facing the baby, who seems to
have finished nursing and is cuddling her lower breast"
I found this picture on the internet a while ago, because i have another
picture of a breastfeeding mother by Modersohn and wondered if that was on
the internet, but it wasn't. If you search for her, you will probably find
it. Some day we should do a lactnet 'art week' and swap all the pics that
are around and not on the big sites. Anyone seen Betty LaDuke's work, for
example?
