Docs may respond favorably to a guide written by a doc -- while hers is
intended for use primarily after baby is born, I would still recommend you
get your hands on: "Breastfeeding: The Physician's Role - A Resource
Guide," by Alicia Dermer, MD, IBCLC.
It was published in 1999 by the New Jersey Breastfeeding Task Force, PO Box
111, Old Bridge, NJ 08857; I picked it up at a conference for something like
$5.00.
It is chock-full of references, sample patient education materials, and
(niftiest of all) these follow-the-arrow-flow charts to guide someone
presented with a breastfeeding problem.
