I applied for a job as a LC at a small coastal town for peds and the local
hospital. The response I got is that they are mostly all lactation
specialists and don't need lactation consultants. I am wondering if any of
you know any good counters to this notion, i.e., benefits of having a LC over
a "lactation specialist," such as insurance reimbursement. Any ideas would be
most appreciated.
