Dear Lactnetters,
I was wondering if anyone has had success making up a song about
breastfeeding based on a popular tune? Our hospital is having a talent
show, and our breastfeeding supporting staff would like to enter the
talent show. Last year Beadie C. shared a most wonderful version of
"YMCA" changed to Why Nurse Your Babe? Anyway thanks again Beadie - the
hospitals employees are still remembering it, + we all won a day off
with pay! If anyone has suggestions of what may have worked for you and
don't mind sharing, I would be most appreciative.
Linda Smith mentioned to me that there is a group or business in
Orlando, Florida that may have lots of this type of stuff available, but
I have not been successful searching for them. It is "Health Education"
or something like that. Anyone heard of this group?
Also our NICU staff is trying to improve the Kangaroo Care techniques,
and we are looking for a vhs tape we could show the parents that would
even show babies on the vent being put into Kangaroo Care. I have a
copy of "Kangaroo Care, A Parent's Touch" already, but was searching for
another title. Thanks in advance for any help.
Evelyn Landry, RN, RLC, IBCLC
