I remember being told by the (then) LLL here that to check if Sandrine's
tongue was properly curled around my nipple, I should check with my BABY
finger (this was at 3 days PP with blisters on my nipples). She never
did want to use my baby finger. Maybe it was too small compared to my
nipple. I don't know...but she only accepted my pointer or middle
finger to suck on (in the car)...same for my mom's finger (she stayed
with us from 10 days-3 weeks to help out). She never sucked on her
father's fingers for long (they taste horrible! <g>), and never got to
suck on her other grandmom's fingers (my MIL) because her nails are
long, and she didn't want to cut one. :-(
However, most of the time, she just sucked on the boob. :-) LOL...
The rest were for if she got really panicky when I was in the shower
(just waiting for me to get out, basically...2-3 minutes) or in the
car. That's about it.
Now she uses her own, but never ever liked her thumb (again, perhaps too
skinny for her liking?). She sucks on her pointer AND middle fingers
(together) on her R. hand, and it's always been that way since 4 months.
Fio.
