just my personal experience while undergoing infertility treatment... at a
dosage of Prometrium (micronized progesterone) 200mg 3x/day, I saw a
dramatic loss of supply. My 3+1/2 yos complained sadly, "the mimis are not
working," Supply was restored with fenugreek. Worst side effects: periodic
episodes of extreme fatigue (nearly passing out) although this was not with
every dose. On Aygestin (norethindrone acetate)5mg 2x/day, I had no drop in
supply but very unpleasant PMS-like moods alternating btw sad and irritable.
No such side effects with natural progesterone cream, but no evidence of its
effectiveness either in my particular situation.
