As a RNC in a hospital setting, I have to agree with Winnie. Evidence-based
research and practice is preached to medical staff frequently. With the
vagaries of dosage and composition of the herbal supplement, we *do* have to
err on the side of caution. If we don't have the research or references to
give our physicians, it is just hearsay or anecdotal in their opinion. To
maintain licensure and the respect of the HCPs, nurses and physicians alike,
we need to be able to offer current, consistent and correct information that
proves this is safe, effective treatment.
