This research is in its seminal stages.
It is impossible to say with any measure of certainty that they will
'definitely not reach their full potential' - but I respect your right to
hold that opinion.

Might one consider that athletics injuries are increasing due to the
professionalisation of kids sports? In the UK we had similar problems with
football. The regulations were changed to reduce the training regimes and to
limit the numbers of games kids could play. Injuries of tendons and
cartilsges have diminished in correlation to the limits set....

If it crosses the placenta might not any harm already be done before birth?
If animal models were that good Thalidomide would not have been a problem
either.....

Just to annoy you may I mention dioxins in breast milk!!!
