Dr. Wight IS out there - way out there - overwhelmed with work.  I knew my
colleagues would answer correctly for me.  Depending on the severity of the
NEC, most infants are NPO for 7-10 days, then refed cautiously.  The only
thing I would recommend feeding would be Mom's own (preferably fresh)
breastmilk, or if none is available pasteurized donor human milk!
