This is a personal anecdote. My second son was also quite small. About
15.5 pounds at 1 year and barely reached 20 pounds by 2. His ped advised
the same and my son lost weight. I went back to demand nursing and found
another doctor. He is now a very healthy, still quite small, 29 pound
almost 4 yo. I was also advised to give pediassure, but since no one could
show me any advantages to that as opposed to breast milk, I refused.
Lynette, just a Mom for this message.
