Dear Lactnetters,
I thank Cathy Lyles for her thorough and thought-provoking post
regarding exhibiting, marketing, and the code.
At first glance, who should and should not exhibit seems to be
relatively clear. In actuality, there are many questions and opportunities
for us all to sort this out.
One post a few digests back suggested that lactnetters start writing
letters to the ILCA board. At this year's conference, I finally realized how
very hard the board works for us. They spent long hours in a conference
room, many days away from paid employment and family. They are passionate
about promoting the LC profession as we all work to promote, protect and
support breastfeeding.
They are working hard for us, and are very open to suggestion (and
help!) So I would like to ask that we make sure that our letters are
respectful and helpful to the cause that we share. After all, we're on the
same team.
Thanks!
