Dear Friends,
I have been happily lurking for such a long time that I feel that I know many
of you on a first name basis. I am a hospital based RN, IBCLC in the
beautiful Pacific Northwest US.
Some time ago, I had read or heard about adverse reactions to formula beyond
GI distress. Unfortunately, I don't recall the resource. Have any of you
cared for a baby who experienced tachycardia during or shortly after
supplementation with human milk fortifier? Also, if a baby has a severe
reaction to formula or HMF, does one report it to the formula company? Thank
you in advance for any information you can share.
Sincerely,
Kathy Bowers, mother of 5 sons, waiting for any of the 4 away to phone home
