Dear Friends:
There was a case where a baby got into serious trouble with a nipple
shield given her in the hospital with no follow up at all. There was a
lawsuit. Unfortunately, as with the lawsuits that have been filed for
supplementation in the hospital without permission, the case that I know of
was settled out of court. When cases are settled out of court, no information
is available, and practice doesn't change.
