Good luck! Nursing has been struggling with the same ideas since the 40s!
I see certification as a continuum. I love what you said about some HCPs
being in a time warp. Unfortunately so are some LLLLs, IBCLCs, LCEs, CLCs
etc :-( Everyone needs to look at where they begin, as the beginning! not
the end of their life long education. Being a counselor of any sort is a
process, not something you learn once and are done. And experience plays a
large role in our educational process. (when I think of what I used to say
30+ years ago as a raw leader I cringe :-) But I learned, evolved and
changed and I'm still learning, evolving and changing :-) Sincerely, Pat in
