Naomi, you ask a good question and one I have considered as well. Yes, you
did hear that a California assemblyman has also introduced a bill here. I
would have to say that the increase in both women in positions of power both
in politics and in society in general and the increase in breastfeeding
combined is the cause for the legislation. I am not sure why it is seemingly
all at once though. I wonder if the high-profile Chicago case helped at
all. I guess the old adage about publicity being a good thing even if it is
bad publicity might be true.
