sure that this is true, but we should take into account many other
factors: was there a "desire to please the interviewer" factor present?
anyone else present at the interview? was there good support pp when the
mom needed it? (remember, behind-the-wheel is a wee bit different....) I
have read a study of where the OPPOSITE was true - initiation was higher
than the stated intention (in J. Gastroenterol. I think - durn, my refs
are at home). New moms are so harrassed that I'm sure they give answers that
THEY THINK the person asking WANTS to hear. After all, it's easier to
please this person, who is most probably very polite and well-mannered,
