Relevant? Baby was fitted for a "hip harness" on Day 5; does not appear at
all uncomfortable in it according to Mom. Mom has been able to comfortably
position baby to "breastfeed" in the cradle and football positions -- but
baby, of course, isn't nursing.

I learned from Lactnet "As the hips, so go the lips." I have found that
babies who are in harnesses or casts before they have learned to
breastfeed, have a hard time getting it together. Even when babies have
feeding well established, they sometimes have trouble after the harnesses
when they can't flex their hips.
One little boy didn't feed really well until 5 months when he began to have
time without the restrictions. He was in a cast.

Do those of you who are versed in Cranial Sacral therapy know if C-S work
can be effective when an infant is in a harness or cast? I have wondered
about this with the infants that I have worked with. I have seen such
amazing success with babies after C-S work.
