I think it goes w/out saying on Lactnet that it is always a good idea (and
the responsible thing to do) to check w/ your hcp any time you take
something you are not sure of or have never done before.  While I know many
people who have had excellent success w/ Shannon's recommendation, certainly
side effects are possible in some people.  I still whole-heartedly recommend
reading the book even if you don't follow her recommended dosages, because
the info and insight into the causes of some of these health problems are
excellent, in my opinion.
