Just wanted to point out that some breastmilk will almost immediately begin
to have the soapy taste, which will increase, regardless of placement in
freezer, how it's shaken or what progressive process of cooling or thawing is
used. A very QUICK scald immediately after expression does stop it from
happening if the alterations in handling do not do it. I hate to see a Mom
having to use scalded milk close to fulltime, but hey.....I'd suggest quickly
scalded breastmilk over formula still hands down.
And, yes, should anyone get it in gear to do any further study on the lipase
while I'm still lactating, I will participate. :)
